I’ll be speaking at the 3D stimulus day over at Mount Ida on April 9th. I’ll be doing a presentation called “Job hunting tips for 3D Artists” as well as moderating a Panel on Technical Art.
My presentation will focus on my thoughts and opinions on the hiring process. Tips and tricks to set portfolio’s apart and how to effectively market yourself as an artist. Check out the book I’m writing on similar topics for more info.
The Panel will consist of three or four Tech Artists from Turbine and a couple from other companies in the area. We’ll discuss what we think Tech Art is as well as discuss the day to day work life of a Tech Artist. We’ll also discuss the need for Technical Artists and how educators can encourage students who show aptitude and interest in this often understood and undervalued field.
I hope to see you there.
