There’s some somewhat conflicting advice out there about identity and labels. Should one first declare themselves an ‘Artist’ or ‘Writer’. Then continue to proceed with the doing of that work.
Or if one shouldn’t declare themselves the label until they are doing the work to some adequate point.
What labels matter to you? Is this binary? What if you’re a writer now and you find yourself podcasting later? Does your identity and label change?
Is this why Polymath and Creative are used to describe these label-shifting people?
Why not consider focusing on the work. Then you can label yourself how you’d like, whenever you’d like? Whichever helps you do the work best.
